Collection: Danilo Vuksanović
Danilo Vuksanović (born December 29, 1973, in Sombor, Serbia) is a Serbian painter, art critic, and cultural worker. He graduated, earned his master’s, and later completed doctoral studies at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, specializing in drawing. Vuksanović has held around forty solo exhibitions in Serbia, Italy, and the United States, and has participated in numerous group exhibitions and art colonies.
His work often explores historical and cultural themes through layered symbolism and mixed media techniques. Notable projects include visual reinterpretations of Cyrillic script and cultural heritage sites, such as his exhibition in Szentendre, Hungary, inspired by the legacy of Gavril Stefanović Venclović.
In addition to his artistic practice, Vuksanović is active in cultural preservation. He works as a conservator-restorer and serves as program director and assistant manager at the Gallery of Matica Srpska in Novi Sad. He is also a member of several professional associations, including ICOM and the associations of fine artists of Vojvodina and Serbia.
He has published four books and regularly writes art criticism.
