Collection: Maia Tsetskhladze
Maia Tsetskhladze (born 1965 in Georgia) is a Georgian painter, graphic artist, and practitioner of applied arts. She graduated from the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts in 1990, specializing in painting. Her artistic vision is rooted in a mystical-romantic worldview, often expressed through portraits and angelic figures that evoke harmony and emotional depth.
Between 2001 and 2004, Maia worked in Germany, where she contributed as a face-painter and decorator for the Berlin Theatre’s production of Oblomov and taught painting at a local nursing home. She also handcrafted five artist books during her career.
Her work is known for its synthesis of visual poetry and spiritual introspection, aiming to “fill the world with beauty and harmony,” as she describes it.
