Collection: Mamuka Tsetskhladze
Mamuka Tsetskhladze (born 1960 in Tbilisi, Georgia) is a Georgian painter, graphic artist, and stage designer known for his deeply expressive and technically refined works. He studied at the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts from 1980 to 1986, where he later became a central figure in the formation of several influential artist groups, including Archivarius, 10th Floor, and Marjanishvili Studio.
In the mid-1980s, Tsetskhladze began working as a stage designer at the Marjanishvili Theater and contributed to Georgian cinema, notably art directing the film New Year in 1986. His teaching career includes a stint at the Iakob Nikoladze Art School (1994–1995), and he was a curator and participant in the Tbilisi International Biennale of Contemporary Art in 1996.
Tsetskhladze’s art is characterized by a blend of classical technique and postmodern sensibility, often exploring themes of universal beauty, cultural memory, and existential reflection. His works have been exhibited internationally and are held in private and public collections across Georgia, Germany, France, Hungary, Russia, Turkey, and the USA.
