Marina Vladimirovna Samakaeva (born November 12, 1958, in Kazan, Russia) is a Russian painter known for her contributions to contemporary figurative and narrative art. She graduated in 1983 from the Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinematography, where she studied set design and visual composition. Since 1999, she has been a member of the Artists’ Union of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Samakaeva’s work often blends theatricality with painterly sensitivity, reflecting her background in scenography. Her paintings are characterized by expressive figures, symbolic storytelling, and a strong sense of atmosphere. She lives and works in Kazan, where she continues to exhibit and contribute to the regional and national art scene.
