Collection: Nebojša Djuranović

Nebojša Djuranović (born in Belgrade, 1968) is a Serbian painter known for his distinctive blend of traditional themes and contemporary expression. He graduated from the Faculty of Applied Arts and Design in Belgrade in 1998, under the mentorship of Professor Rastko Ćirić. Djuranović is a member of ULUPUDS (Association of Applied Arts Artists and Designers of Serbia).

His artistic career spans numerous solo and group exhibitions both in Serbia and abroad. Notable works include large-scale historical compositions such as Despot Stefan under the Walls of Belgrade and the Coronation of Stefan the First-Crowned. His paintings often explore themes of medieval Serbian history, youth, and emotional depth, combining narrative illustration with fine art.

Djuranović has also contributed as an illustrator and author to several publications, including Medieval Serbia (2005), Chronicle of the Body (2015), and Serbian Knights in the Time of the Nemanjić Dynasty (2018). His illustrations appear in books such as The Bible in 365 Pictures and Stories and The Book of Belgrade.

His works are part of private and museum collections worldwide. In 2025, he was awarded the Order of the Karađorđe's Star, Third Class, by the President of Serbia.

Djuranović lives and works in Belgrade as an independent artist.
