Collection: Petar Mošić
Petar Mošić (1981–2025) was a Serbian painter known for his technically refined and emotionally charged works, often described as metaphysical realism. Born in Belgrade, he completed his undergraduate and doctoral studies in painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, under Professors Darija Kačić and Anđelka Bojović.
Mošić participated in over twenty solo and more than a hundred group exhibitions across Serbia and internationally, including art fairs and residencies such as Glo'Art in Belgium and the International Summer Art Camp in Hungary. His works are part of numerous public and private collections, including the Museum of Srem, Museum of Herzegovina, and several institutions in Belgrade.
He received numerous awards, including the Golden Palette (ULUS Spring Exhibition, 2016), the Momčilo Momo Kapor Foundation Award (2020), and the Igor Belohlavek Prize (Šabac, 2022). His art often tackled socially engaged themes, exploring childhood, identity, and psychological depth through portraiture and symbolic compositions.
Mošić passed away unexpectedly in June 2025 at the age of 44. He is remembered as one of the most technically accomplished and conceptually daring Serbian painters of his generation.
