Yuri Abisalov

Yuri Abisalov was born in 1957 in Vladikavkaz, Russia, where he has lived and worked for most of his life. He received his artistic education at the Vladikavkaz Art School and continued his studies at the Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in Leningrad. Over the years he has been active as a painter and educator, participating in regional, national, and international exhibitions.

Abisalov’s work draws on both national artistic traditions and contemporary themes, often creating multi‑figured compositions that reflect cultural memory, everyday life, and symbolic narratives. His art has been exhibited widely and is included in public and private collections in numerous countries, and he has been honored with awards for his contribution to the visual arts.
