Collection: Andrey Zakharov

Andrey Zakharov (born 1967 in Rostov Veliky, Russia) is a renowned Russian impressionist painter and Honored Artist of Russia. He graduated from the Yaroslavl Art School in 1987 and later from the St. Petersburg Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I. E. Repin, Faculty of Theory and History of Arts, in 2016.

Zakharov is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia, the Creative Union of Artists of Russia, and the International Art Foundation. He has received numerous awards, including the Silver and Gold Medals of the Russian Academy of Arts, the “Worthy” medal (twice), and the Gold Medal of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia.

His works are held in major public collections, including museums in Kostroma, Belgorod, Voronezh, Khanty-Mansiysk, and the Konstantinovsky Palace in St. Petersburg, as well as in the Art Museum of Shandong Province in China. Zakharov has participated in exhibitions and plein-air events across Russia and internationally—in Poland, Hungary, Montenegro, Italy, Greece, France, Germany, and China. He has also contributed to charity auctions at Sotheby’s and Christie’s.

Zakharov is especially known for his landscape paintings, which reflect a deep connection to nature and Russian artistic traditions. His style is marked by expressive brushwork, rich textures, and subtle color harmonies. He frequently travels to the Russian North, including Karelia and the White Sea coast, where he finds inspiration in untouched natural settings.
