Collection: Costin Brateanu
Costin Brăteanu (born February 23, 1978, in Petroșani, Romania) is a contemporary Romanian painter known for his experimental and postmodern approach to visual art. He studied painting at the Art High School in Timișoara (1988–1996) and later graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the West University of Timișoara in 2001. He has been a member of the Union of Visual Artists of Romania (UAP) since 2002.
Brăteanu’s work blends naturalism, decorative painting, geometry, and abstraction, often described as part of a meta-postmodernist process. His artistic practice is characterized by experimentation, speed, and spatial association, reflecting a dynamic and ever-evolving creative personality.
He has exhibited widely, with solo shows at venues such as AXA Art Gallery and Kafka Café in Timișoara, and participated in group exhibitions across Romania and internationally. He also served as the President of the Romanian National Committee for the World Art Games.
