Collection: Damjan Martinović
Damjan Martinović (born August 2, 1982, in Šabac, Serbia) is a Serbian painter known for his dedication to classical painting techniques. His artistic journey began in his father’s studio, where he was surrounded by brushes, canvases, and the scent of turpentine from an early age.
After finishing high school in Sremska Mitrovica, he prepared for the Academy of Fine Arts under the guidance of Jelena Sekulić and Svetlana Knežević. Although his first entrance exam was unsuccessful, he was admitted to the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade in 2002. He studied under professors Jasmina Kalić and Anđelka Bojović, graduating in 2008.
Soon after, Martinović became a drawing assistant at the Academy of Classical Painting at Educons University in Sremska Kamenica. He paints primarily in oil and remains committed to classical art, continuously exploring both his personal expression and the broader artistic process.
