Collection: Katrina Sadrak
Katrina Sadrak, born in 1978 in Poland, is an internationally recognized visual artist, academic, and curator. She holds a PhD in Fine Arts from the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce, Poland, where she specialized in visual arts and conservation. Her artistic practice is deeply rooted in the exploration of cosmic themes, inspired by dialogue with astronomers, cosmologists, and astrophotographers.
Sadrak’s work is characterized by large-scale oil paintings that interpret the structures, colors, and boundaries of the Universe. Her compositions evoke cosmic dust clouds, nebulae, and echoes of the Big Bang, blending scientific inquiry with traditional painting techniques. She studied Eastern art and calligraphy at Tianjin Polytechnic University in China, and her approach often incorporates medieval symbolism, alchemy of color, and ancient techniques such as egg tempera and gold leaf.
She has participated in over 180 exhibitions across Europe and Asia, with her works held in institutional collections including the Hindiyeh Museum & Gallery in Jordan, Haegeumgang Theme Museum and Yukyung Art Museum in South Korea, and the Nasca Contemporary Art Collection in Tianjin, China. Her paintings have also been featured in public spaces and prestigious exhibitions such as the Salon Comparaisons in Paris.
Katrina Sadrak is a member of the Leeds Fine Artists Association and the Polish National Association of Professional Artists (ZPAP). Her art seeks not only to observe the Universe but to look beyond its visible boundaries, offering a poetic and philosophical interpretation of cosmic phenomena.
