Collection: Khamza Abdullayev

Khamza Abdullayev (born 1946 in Baku, Azerbaijan) is a prominent Azerbaijani painter and educator. He graduated from the Azimzade Art School in 1967 and later from the Moscow State Institute of Printing Arts in 1974, specializing in painting. Since 1976, he has been a member of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan.

Abdullayev is known for emotionally rich and symbolically layered compositions that blend traditional Azerbaijani themes with modern visual language. His works have been exhibited both locally and internationally, including in Turkey, Poland, Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Finland, and Vietnam.

He has also contributed significantly to art education, serving as a lecturer at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts. His style is marked by expressive brushwork, philosophical depth, and a strong sense of cultural identity.
