Collection: Laura Dimitrova

Laura Dimitrova, born in 1958 in Sofia, Bulgaria, is a Bulgarian visual artist working across painting, drawing, collage, paper art, and artistic textiles. She graduated in 1982 from the National Academy of Arts in Sofia, specializing in textile and fashion under Professor Dimitar Balev. Since 1991, she has been a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists.

In 2013, she earned her PhD, and since 2015 she has held the title of professor in decorative arts. Her academic and artistic work is based in Sofia, where she continues to live and create.

Dimitrova has participated in over 200 group exhibitions, plein-air sessions, and art projects both in Bulgaria and internationally. Her work is known for its poetic and symbolic visual language, often exploring themes of memory, femininity, and transformation.
