Collection: Mila Gvardiol

Mila Gvardiol, born in 1979 in Belgrade, Serbia, is a Serbian visual artist and university professor whose work spans painting and digital art. She graduated in 2004 from the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade, specializing in wall painting under Professor Slobodan Đuričković. In 2012, she earned her PhD in Digital Art from the University of Arts in Belgrade through interdisciplinary studies.

She has been a member of ULUS since 2006 and ULUPUDS since 2011. From 2012, she has worked at the Faculty of Digital Production in Sremska Kamenica, where she currently holds the position of Associate Professor and Acting Dean. Between 2015 and 2023, she also taught at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade.

Gvardiol has held over 40 solo exhibitions across Serbia and the region, including in cities such as Zagreb, Pula, Skopje, and Prijedor, and participated in more than 300 group exhibitions throughout the Balkans, Central Europe, and internationally, including in France, Germany, Austria, the United States, and South Korea. Her work has been featured in numerous art colonies and digital art festivals.

Her artistic practice explores the relationship between form, structure, and space, drawing inspiration from architecture and geometric forms. In 2013, Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) produced a documentary about her work titled Gvardiol – Mila Gvardiol.
