Collection: Milan Pantelić

Milan Pantelić, born in 1986 in Šabac, Serbia, is a Serbian academic painter whose work explores the psychological and existential dimensions of contemporary life. He graduated from the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade in 2010 and earned his PhD in Applied Painting in 2018 under the mentorship of Professor Slobodan Kajtez. Since 2013, he has worked as a teaching assistant at the same faculty, in the Department of Applied Painting.

Pantelić has held six solo exhibitions in Serbia and participated in around sixty group exhibitions both nationally and internationally. He has also completed six public art projects in various locations across Serbia. His work has been recognized with numerous awards, including the First Prize at the 59th October Salon in Šabac (2015), the First Prize at the international symposium Fora viva in Slovenia (2013), and the First Prize for mosaic at the International Stone Fair (2010).

His artistic style is marked by expressive figuration and symbolic abstraction, often referencing consumer culture through recurring motifs such as bags and fragmented human figures. Critics have compared his visual language to the existential intensity of Francis Bacon and the emotional resonance of Edvard Munch. Pantelić’s art reflects the inner struggle of modern individuals caught between technological progress and emotional alienation, using shape and color to convey tension, transformation, and introspection.

He lives and works in Belgrade, actively contributing to both the academic and artistic communities.
