Collection: Milan Pivnički
Milan Pivnički, born in 1958 in Srbobran, Serbia, is a Serbian academic painter whose work is closely tied to the visual heritage of Vojvodina. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade in 1984, studying under Professors Vojislav Todorić and Čedomir Krstić, and completed postgraduate studies at the same institution in 1990 under Todorić’s mentorship. Since 1990, he has been a member of both ULUV and ULUS.
Pivnički’s artistic expression is rooted in the tradition of the Vojvodinian plain landscape, which he interprets through a realistic and poetic lens. His paintings often depict rural scenes, fields, and skies, capturing the atmosphere and rhythm of the region with subtle emotional depth. He describes drawing as the truth, poetry, and essence of visual art, and this philosophy permeates his entire body of work.
