Collection: Selma Đulizarević Karanović
Selma Đulizarević Karanović was born in Sarajevo in 1967. She studied art history at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade and graduated from the Painting Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts. She earned a Master of Arts in 1997 and a PhD in painting in 2012. Since 1995, she has been a member of the Association of Visual Artists of Serbia and has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Belgium, as well as international symposia and art projects.
She teaches at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade, where she is a full professor. Her work explores themes of identity, cultural heritage, and human experience through painting and mixed media. Her pieces are part of public collections, and she has received awards including the Golden Palette and honors at international biennials of miniature art.
