Collection: Stojan Milanov
Stojan Milanov (born in 1963, Belgrade, Serbia) is a Serbian academic painter known for his expressive oil-on-canvas works that explore themes such as urban landscapes, human figures, and nature. He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Belgrade, but has been professionally engaged in painting since 1985.
Milanov is a member of both ULUPUDS (Association of Applied Arts Artists and Designers of Serbia) and ULUS (Association of Fine Artists of Serbia), and works as a freelance artist. His style is rooted in classical realism, with a strong emphasis on drawing technique, yet his compositions often carry emotional depth and poetic atmosphere.
He has participated in numerous group exhibitions and art meetings across Serbia and internationally. In 2005, he was awarded Artist of the Year by Simic Galleries in California. His works are held in private and public collections throughout Europe and the United States.
Milanov describes painting as a personal and spiritual journey, driven by curiosity and the desire to explore perception and emotion through visual form.
