Zhazira Janabayeva is an artist from Almaty, Kazakhstan, specializing in silk painting, hand weaving, and decorative arts. She studied decorative and applied arts with a focus on textile design and later completed further training in traditional textile painting. Since 2002, she has led one of the oldest fine art studios in Almaty, “Blue Turtle,” where she also mentors young artists.

Her work emphasizes the creation of mandala art, combining traditional craft techniques with symbolic and meditative visual forms. Janabayeva has exhibited both nationally and internationally, and her art explores themes of harmony, cultural heritage, and personal expression.
